The 2024 Hong Kong-Macao-Shandong Week kicked off on May 27 and will run until May 30, bringing together key representatives from Shandong province, Hong Kong, and Macao to explore new avenues for collaboration and economic growth. During this year's event, a series of investment promotion activities are set to be organized by Shandong's cities and departments, resulting in 69 new cooperation projects.
The projects, with a total investment of over $10 billion, span a diverse range of sectors, including digital economy, energy transformation, smart manufacturing, modern agriculture, and cultural tourism, and aim to leverage Shandong's industrial strengths and market potential with Hong Kong's capital advantages, innovation capabilities, and talent resources to foster new quality productive forces.
At the opening ceremony held on May 27, distinguished guests engaged in in-depth discussions on high-level cooperation and high-quality development, exploring the promising prospects for win-win cooperation between Shandong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The ceremony also witnessed the signing of 30 key cooperation project agreements with a total investment of $3.93 billion. The projects represent a concrete step towards realizing the shared vision of the three regions for a prosperous and interconnected future.
As the event progresses, further opportunities for collaboration and mutual growth are expected to emerge, paving the way for a brighter future for Shandong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
