On June 8, the establishment meeting and the first General meeting of Shandong Exhibition Industry Development Association was held in Jinan. The meeting elected the first board of directors, rotating president, vice president, Secretary-General.
Under the guidance and support of the Provincial Department of Commerce and approved by the Civil Affairs Department of Shandong Province, Shandong Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Association is a non-profit social organization jointly initiated and established by the backbone enterprises of the exhibition industry and the representative enterprises of the upstream and downstream industrial chain in Shandong Province.
At present, the exhibition industry in Shandong Province maintains a good momentum of development, the overall scale of the exhibition industry ranked in the top three in China, forming a echelon development pattern with Jinan, Qingdao as the leader, Linyi, Weifang, Yantai and other cities developing side by side, followed by other cities. The establishment of Shandong Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Association coincides with the opportune time and rare opportunity.
The Association will promote enterprise through communication and coordination, industry planning and design, information statistics, the exhibition effect evaluation, professional personnel training, etc, to strengthen domestic and foreign exchange and cooperation, promoting the construction of standardization system, develop the brand of convention and exhibition,safeguard the interests of the industry, strengthening industry self-discipline,to build the overall brand image of Shandong Convention and Exhibition, Further to enhance the innovation, cohesion and competitiveness of the convention and exhibition industry in Shandong Province, promote the service improvement and transformation and upgrading of the convention and exhibition industry in shandong Province, and open up the high-quality development pattern of the exhibition industry.
