The 10th Qilu Redwood Culture Festival kicked off in Jinan, the capital of East China's Shandong province, on Sept 27.
Since its inception in 2013, the festival has been dedicated to preserving and promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture, advancing the development and innovation of the redwood furniture industry, and promoting the inheritance and innovation of redwood culture in Shandong.
"Redwood furniture, with its unique materials, exquisite craftsmanship, and rich cultural significance, serves as a bridge connecting the past and the future. It is a vivid interpretation of China's outstanding traditional culture. Each piece of redwood furniture is not just an object but also a legacy of culture, an expression of art, and a spiritual sanctuary," said Niu Guangxia, president of the Shandong Furniture Association.
The profound cultural heritage of Shandong, combined with redwood furniture as a treasure of Chinese traditional culture, not only carries the sentiments and cultural identity of the Chinese people but also embodies their aspirations for a better life.
In addition to traditional redwood carving exhibitions, this year's festival has planned exciting activities for redwood enthusiasts to learn all about the profound and extensive redwood culture.
Visitors can not only admire exquisite artworks but also participate in the joy of traditional craftsmanship.
