Shandong province made a strong showing at the 136th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, showcasing a wide range of innovative products and securing significant export deals.
Organized into three trading groups (provincial, Jinan, and Qingdao), Shandong brought together 2,900 enterprises to participate in the fair, 189 more than in the previous session.
The first phase of the fair, focusing on advanced manufacturing, saw 1,022 Shandong enterprises participate, with their provisional transaction value increasing 2.3 percent year-on-year to $1.15 billion.
In the vehicle exhibition area, Sinotruk, a leading Chinese heavy-duty truck manufacturer, showcased a variety of light and heavy-duty trucks. On the opening day, the company received over 60 new potential customers.
The strong performance of Shandong enterprises at the Canton Fair highlights the province's commitment to innovation and its growing presence in the global market.
