The annual event attracted masses of people and to entertain them there were not only a wide range of tastes and a rich variety of beer on hand, as well as gastronomic specialties, but also a display that showcased Zibo as a dynamic and open city.
As the birthplace of ancient Qi culture, Zibo highlighted its local history, as well as its cultural and regional characteristics during the event. Cultural and creative products and handicraft items were on show, allowing visitors to gain an insight into Qi culture.
In addition, the staging of more fashionable things – including hip music concerts – made this year's beer festival even more of a carnival.
The festival has become part of the cultural identity of over the past three years. The first Zibo-Tsingtao Beer Festival attracted nearly 300,000 visitors within 10 days, who quaffed more than 180 metric tons of beer. The second one was even more of a hit, attracting more folks coming from near and afar.
