The city of Zibo in East China's Shandong province, well-known for its ceramics, will host the 22nd China International Ceramics Exposition from Dec 17 to 20, officials announced at a news conference on Dec 15.
This year's expo will have one main venue and two branch venues.
The fourth China (Zibo) Ceramic and Colored Glaze Innovative Design Competition, as well as the fourth Moutai Cup China (Zibo) Ceramic and Colored Glaze Innovative Design Competition, will be held in Hall A of the main venue, displaying more than 100 award-winning works. Both competitions have been held for four consecutive years.
Nearly 30 local ceramic enterprises and master studios, and some 20 from the five other main ceramic production areas in China – Jingdezhen in Jiangxi province, Dehua in Fujian province, Tangshan in Hebei province, Yuzhou and Baofeng in Henan province – will gather in Zibo to show their wares. There will also be five well-known international ceramics brands.
As a highlight, this year's expo will set up an advanced ceramic exhibition area for the first time. Hundreds of representative products in the fields of aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, next-generation information technology, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection were selected to showcase the latest development achievements and applications and future development direction of Zibo's advanced ceramic industry.
In addition to ceramic and colored glaze works, there will also be some characteristic Zibo light industrial products, arts and crafts works and agricultural and sideline products displayed.
