The third Conference of Great Business Partners kicked off in the city of Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province on March 28, with the city of Zibo – also situated in the region – holding a major promotions meeting there.
Business leaders from across the country held talks on business and development strategies to boost Zibo's economy and construct a modern and strong city in the new era.

The Zibo municipal government is gearing up to build a new open platform and push ahead with international logistics routes, according to local authorities.
Lu Jinqin, chairman of the Hong Kong Commerce & Industry Associations, praised Zibo's solid industrial foundations and its location advantages at the meeting. He said the associations would push hard to promote investment in Zibo and consolidate the partnership of both sides.
Xiao Gang, an academician at the Royal Society of Chemistry, noted that Zibo had abundant hydrogen energy resources and great industrial potential. He called for more collaboration with the city and for further breakthroughs to be made in the research and development of core technologies.
Adding icing to the cake, 15 major projects that will be developed in Zibo were signed up at the conference.
